Watkins, Softball Team Display Heart but Fall Short to Atlantic Shores

The Dolphins hosted Atlantic Shores on Thursday afternoon for their first game of the season and fell by the final score of 5-3. Bailey Watkins pitched a complete game for Cape Henry, giving up only six hits; three of the five Atlantic Shores runs were unearned runs due to costly errors. Watkins helped her own cause offensively by driving in two runs with a stand-up triple. Despite the loss the Dolphins displayed an impressive effort and attitude. Cape Henry plays next on Monday when it travels to Norfolk Christian.
