Girls Soccer Earn First Win of the Season Against Northampton

The girl’s varsity soccer team got back on track Tuesday afternoon, winning its first game of the season in a 2-0 victory over Northampton High School. 8th Grader Bridget Swift recorded her first shutout of the season recording four saves, and she was aided significantly by the play of senior sweeper Rachel Law. Sophomore Stephanie White moved up from her normal defensive position in the first half and responded when she turned and fired in the game’s first goal, giving the Dolphins a 1-0 advantage. She went on to play an outstanding game on defense. Sophomore Khajae Hester gave an inspiring effort at center midfield involving all of her teammates and constantly combining with Amalia Riess as the duo linked up for the game’s second goal scored by Riess. The Dolphins look to continue their winning streak when they host First Colonial on Thursday (4:00pm).
