Golf Team Finishes 4th, Reed Finished 2nd in Heritage Cup
The Cape Henry varsity golf team got off to a slow start over the weekend, finishing in fourth place out of 11 teams in the Heritage Cup tournament. The tournament was held at a wet Kilmarlic Golf Club in the Outer Banks. The Dolphins were led by eighth grader Nicholas Bruner. Playing in his first high school golf tournament, Nicholas shot 77, good enough for a tie for fifth individually out of 70 players. The Dolphins also received a strong performance from Kayleigh Reed who took home second place in the girls division. Other notable contributions came from Senior captain Max Wagner, Sophomore Michael Ettel and freshman Jake Richardson. The defending TCIS champion Dolphins look to get back on track on Friday when they host Trinity Episcopal at the Princess Anne Country Club.
