Girls Soccer Ties NSA Despite Controlling the Action
The Dolphins traveled to Nansemond-Suffolk yesterday and returned home with a 3-3 tie. Cape Henry dominated play for most of the game but couldn’t hold on to the lead in the final minutes. The Dolphins took a 2-0 lead on goals from Katie Ellis and Katherine Burniske, but the Saints were able to tie the score in the second half. Ellis struck again to give Cape Henry a 3-2 lead, but NSA was able to equalize the game during injury time, sending it in to overtime. The Dolphins once again dominated the overtime period but could not come away with a goal.
