Watkins Leads Softball Past Norfolk Christian For 1st Victory of 2010

The Dolphins faced Norfolk Christian on Thursday afternoon hoping to secure their first win of 2010, and they did just that, winning 12-5. Bailey Watkins pitched another complete game for Cape Henry, giving up only four hits. The Dolphins started their attack in the second inning scoring seven of their 12 runs. On Offense Bailey Watkins went 2 for 2 with two walks, and newcomer Alex Saal went 2 for 4. On Defense Jenna Sedjat made a nice play catching a hard hit ground ball to second, and Kristen Parnigoni scooped a ball thrown in the dirt at first securing the third out of the 4th inning. The Dolphins continue to show progress through the early part of the season, and they hope to pack the stands at their next home game on March 30th against Tabernacle Academy.
