GIRLS BASKETBALL SUFFERS SURPRISE LOSS IN 1st ROUND OF TCIS TOURNEY
Cape Henry hosted Norfolk Academy last night in the first round of the TCIS tournament, and the Dolphins suffered a 49-44 loss, knocking them out of the conference tournament. Zeniya Trowell led the Dolphins with 11 points, and Khajae Hester and Amalia Riess chipped in 10 points apiece. Riess scored nine of her 10 points from behind the arc. Alexis Smith scored six points, La'Bria Wilson added six points, and Karen Campbell scored a point of her own. Cape Henry now must sit and wait for conference tournament play to conclude before its state tournament seed is announced.
