Girls Basketball Overcomes Slow Start to Drop NA

Cape Henry hosted Norfolk Academy Friday night and secured a 39-23 victory. Cape Henry was led by the effort of Alexis Smith, who had 16 points and seven rebounds. The Dolphins shook off a slow start to take a 17-10 halftime edge, and they built on that lead in a stronger second half. Khajae Hester contributed eight points; La'Bria Wilson scored seven points; Zeniya Trowell battled through early foul trouble to drop in six points; and Karen Campbell had two points. Cape Henry now turns its attention to this week's TCIS tournament.
