DOLPHINS BASKETBALL TEAMS HAVE TOUGH NIGHT ON FRIDAY AGAINST TALENTED NORFOLK CHRISTIAN SQUADS

Norfolk Christian 70, Cape Henry 53
Cape Henry hosted Norfolk Christian on Friday night in front of a packed house and fell by the final score of 70-53. The Dolphins got off to a slow start in the first quarter but managed to fight back to within three points at the end of the frame, trailing 18-15. The two teams would trade off baskets for the next few minutes of game time, as Cape Henry trailed 26-23 halfway through the second quarter, but Norfolk Christian went on a run to close out the half, taking a commanding 42-25 halftime advantage. The Dolphins regrouped during the break and played Norfolk Christian even the rest of the game, but the damage was done in the second quarter. The loss drops the Dolphins to 10-4, and they hope to rebound on Tuesday night when they travel to take on Walsingham Academy.

Norfolk Christian 64, Cape Henry 46
The Dolphins traveled to Norfolk Christian on Friday night and suffered their first loss of the season, falling 64-46. Cape Henry trailed 30-24 at halftime, but the second half proved to be its downfall. Khajae Hester and Zeniya Trowell led the offense with 14 points each. Alexis Smith scored 10 points. Amalia Riess had six points (one 3-pointer), and La’Bria Wilson added three points (one 3-pointer). The Dolphins (13-1) look to straighten things out in time for their game on against Walsingham Academy (6:00pm).
