Girls Lacrosse Comeback Bid Falls Short Against St. Catherine's
Cape Henry traveled to St. Catherine's on Saturday, and despite the efforts of Ashmore Standing and Regan Haegley fell 16-13. The Dolphins took an early 3-0 lead to force St. Catherine's to call a timeout. The break worked for St. Catherine's as it went on a 12-2 run, taking a convincing 12-5 lead in the first half. The Dolphins battled in the second half to comeback, but their bid fell short as time expired. Cape Henry had strong play offensively from Standing (six goals) and Haegley (five goals), but their efforts were not enough to secure a win. Laney Clarke and Alison Riccio each added a goal for the Dolphins.
