RADFORD, POLLARD LEAD BOYS BASKETBALL PAST GCA

Cape Henry traveled to Greenbrier Christian last night and took home an 83-41 victory. George Radford was once again on fire from 3-point land, hitting six 3-pointers in the first half and finishing with seven total 3-pointers en route to 21 points. Demetrius Pollard was equally as impressive, knocking down four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 24 points. Pollard scored 18 points in the third quarter alone. Terrell Allen finished with nine points and 12 rebounds. The remainder of the Dolphins offense came from Connor LaFramboise (nine points), Aaron Drory (six), Chris Campbell (six), Devon Hall (four) and Mike Maroon (three). The win improved Cape Henry to 16-4 (6-1), and the Dolphins look to build on that streak when they visit Norfolk Academy on Saturday night (7pm).


TOTAL TEAM EFFORT PROPELS GIRLS BASKETBALL PAST GCA

The Dolphins hosted Greenbrier Christian last night and stomped their way to a 61-12 victory. Cape Henry put forth a total team effort as eight players registered at least two points. The offense was led by the foursome of Zeniya Trowell, who led all scorers with 13 points, Amalia Riess, who had 12 points, seven assists and four steals, and Khajae Hester and Alexis Smith, who each dropped in 10 points. Karen Campbell and Brianna Perry each added five points; La'Bria Wilson scored four points; and Payton Schaubach had two points. Cape Henry, now 19-1 (6-1 TCIS), squares off next against HRA on Tuesday.
