POLLARD LEADS BOYS BASKETBALL TO IMPORTANT WIN OVER BISHOP SULLIVAN

Cape Henry hosted Bishop Sullivan last night for another important TCIS contest, and the Dolphins grabbed a 67-54 victory. The win improves the #2 ranked Dolphins to 15-4 overall, and it built their conference record to 5-1. Cape Henry led 30-24 at halftime, and a strong second half performance from Demetrius Pollard helped close the win. Pollard led all scorers with 29 points, and he scored 10 of those 29 in the fourth quarter. Terrell Allen chipped in with a double-double, scoring 12 points. George Radford stroked two 3-pointers for six of his 13 points, and Devon Hall added 10 points of his own while facing the team his father coaches. Chris Campbell chipped in three points for the Dolphins. Cape Henry looks to continue their strong conference record when it faces Greenbrier Christian on Thursday (7pm).


HESTER'S 16 POINTS LEADS GIRLS BASKETBALL TO BIG WIN OVER BISHOP SULLIVAN

The Dolphins faced one of their greatest challenges of the season last night against Bishop Sullivan. Squaring off against one of the more talented teams in the conference, the game had huge postseason implications for both teams, and Cape Henry did not disappoint. Led by the charge of Khajae Hester's 16 points, seven assists and four steals, the Dolphins built their record to 18-1 overall (5-1 TCIS) with a 46-35 win. Cape Henry led by three points at halftime (19-16) and was able to hold on for the hotly contested road victory. Zeniya Trowell continued her dominance in the paint with 10 points, while La'Bria Wilson (seven points), Alexis Smith (six), Karen Campbell (five), and Amalia Ries (two) rounded out the Dolphins offense. Cape Henry looks to continue its strong finish when it sqaures off against Greenbrier Christian on Thursday (6pm).
