DOLPHINS CONTINUE DOMINANCE IN 1ST GAME OF 2010
The Dolphins hosted Jamestown last night for their first game since the start of holiday break, and they picked up right where they left off, winning 59-42. Cape Henry built a 19-5 first quarter lead, carried a 35-19 halftime lead and never looked back from there. Khajae Hester led the offensive effort, going 8 of 9 from the field to score 17 points. Hester dished out five assists as well. Alexis Smith scored 16 points, and added seven rebounds, seven steals and one block. La’Bria Wilson had 13 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Zeniya Trowell added 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks, and Amalia Riess (three points) hit a key three-pointer in the second quarter to squash a Jamestown comeback attempt. The Dolphins, now 7-0, travel to Peninsula Catholic on Thursday.
